We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Install, wire, test, and troubleshoot electrical systems using hand tools, power tools, schematics, and blueprints.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to accurately execute installation and repair tasks.
- Use testing devices such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical issues and ensure system integrity.
- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, and high voltage equipment to support industrial automation projects.
- Follow the National Electrical Code (NEC) standards to maintain compliance during all phases of work.
- Conduct renovations or upgrades on existing electrical systems in commercial or industrial settings.
- Collaborate with construction teams on site to ensure timely completion of electrical installations while maintaining safety protocols.
- Utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete tasks efficiently.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to facilitate precise wiring and system setup.
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting on electrical systems to minimize downtime.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work performed for project records and compliance purposes.
Experience
- Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or commercial settings with a strong understanding of NEC standards.
- Hands-on experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and low voltage systems is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams accurately.
- Prior construction site experience with renovation projects is preferred.
- Skilled in using ohmmeters, multimeters, power tools, hand tools, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience working with high voltage (HV) systems safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading combined with practical framing carpentry or handyman skills enhances versatility on the job site.
