Position Summary:
The Server Assistant at Voltaire, an upscale nightlife venue within The Venetian Casino, is entrusted with the key responsibility of enhancing the guest experience through exceptional beverage service to both patrons and servers. Far beyond the basic responsibilities of clearing and re-setting tables, they are a key component to the maintenance and upkeep of our venue. Even more important, you have a direct impact on the level of service that we offer to our guests, not only through assistance of the bottle servers, but through interaction with the guests themselves while always maintaining a polished and professional demeanor.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all assigned opening and closing duties.
- Set up all table with bottle service presentation.
- Fill all carafes with appropriate mixers.
- Set up garnishes.
- Interact in a courteous & professional manner with co-workers, supervisors, & guests.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of all service areas.
- Practice table maintenance
- Complete running side work throughout the evening as assigned.
- Elevate the guest experience by providing exceptional service, proactively identifying guest service opportunities, and exhibiting exemplary interpersonal skills with a warm and professional demeanor.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, bustling, and occasionally high-pressure environment.
- Interact in a courteous manner towards all guests, managers, and co-workers.
- Execute service guidelines meticulously, paying extreme attention to detail.
- Maintain effective communication with fellow Team Members to ensure consistently high service standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to ensure proper functionality of equipment.
- Adhere to safe work practices, promoting a hazard-free environment and preventing self-injury and unsafe work methods.
- Be willing to engage in choreographed movement in the space.
- Present and maintain a polished, professional appearance, posture, and hygiene, aligned with company standards.

Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Possession of a Health card, Alcohol Awareness (TAM) card, and any other required certifications or licenses.
- In-depth knowledge of beverages, including high-end wines/champagnes, liquor brands, beer, non-alcoholic beverages, glassware, terminology, and garnishes.
- Familiarity with customer ordering practices for beers, wines, and spirits.
- Superior customer service skills with confidence in a guest-facing role.
- Professional and well-groomed appearance in accordance with company standards.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with diverse guests and team members.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Navigate all areas of the property.
- Maintain composure under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Stand, walk, stretch, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
- Work in a fast-paced and busy environment.
- Work indoors, exposed to various environmental factors like noise and smoke.
- Preferred nightlife experience.
