osition Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Engineering Recruiter to join our team on a part-time, temporary basis to support a surge in hiring needs. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and a proven track record of sourcing, engaging, and hiring top-tier engineering talent (mechanical, electrical, software, etc.). You will work closely with hiring managers to understand technical requirements and build a robust talent pipeline, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
Location: Remote
Position Type: Part-Time, Temporary (25 hours weekly)
Duration: 3-6 months, with protentional to be extended
Responsibilities include but not limited to
- Sourcing & Outreach: Source active and passive candidates for VoltAir’s open positions.
- Technical Screening: Screen resumes and conduct preliminary interviews to assess candidates' technical expertise, project experience, and team fit.
- Hiring Manager Partnership: Collaborate with Engineering directors and managers to understand job specifications and provide feedback on the candidate market.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Engineering, and/or related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- 2-5 years of full-cycle technical recruiting experience, specifically focused on engineering disciplines (electrical, mechanical, building information modeling (BIM), or software).
- Proficiency in advanced sourcing techniques including Boolean search, LinkedIn Recruiter, and niche platforms.
- Ability to understand complex engineering job requirements and assess candidate technical capabilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage passive talent and build relationships with hiring leaders.
- Proven ability to work independently and succeed in a fast-paced, temporary, or part-time capacity.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and MS Office Suite.
Physical Requirements
Must have the ability to perform the necessary job-related functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Work normal business hours and extended hours, evenings, and weekends when necessary to meet business deadlines
- Remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting, for prolonged periods
- Regular use of office equipment such as a computer/laptop and computer screens
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components
