Digital Marketing Intern (Paid – Summer, In-Office)

VOLTAGE is a Kansas City–based digital marketing agency founded in 2005. For over 20 years, we’ve specialized in digital strategy, search marketing (SEO & paid search), and websites.

We are not a generalist, “do everything” agency. We focus on what we do best and help established brands drive measurable business outcomes through performance-driven digital marketing.

Our clients range from local to national organizations across B2B and service-based industries. We believe marketing should connect to ROI — not just activity or vanity metrics.

Our downtown Kansas City office is professional but relaxed. No suits. No corporate stiffness. Just a focused team doing meaningful work together.

What You’ll Be Doing

Responsibilities May Include

• Assisting with SEO research, audits, and on-page optimization tasks
• Supporting paid search research and campaign preparation processes
• Contributing to website production and content updates in WordPress
• Assisting with content production, including marketing efforts for VOLTAGE
• Conducting research and helping prepare internal documentation
• Participating in internal meetings and, when appropriate, sitting in on client conversations
• You’ll see how our work ladders up to client business goals — even if you’re not leading strategic discussions yourself.
  
  

What We’re Looking For

We’re Seeking Someone Who

• Is completing or has recently completed a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field (or has relevant experience)
• Has strong written communication skills
• Is detail-oriented and comfortable working with data
• Has a base-level understanding of SEO, paid search, websites, or analytics (certifications are a plus, not required)
• Is proactive and willing to ask questions
• Can work independently without constant oversight
• Is interested in understanding how digital marketing drives business outcomes

What to Expect

This Internship Is

• Paid
• In-office (downtown Kansas City)
• Up to 32 hours per week, Monday–Thursday
