Founded in 1930, Volta Oil has proudly served our communities for over 90 years — and we continue to grow year after year! What started as a family-run business has evolved into a dynamic retail and wholesale petroleum company serving Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire, with our convenience stores operating under the Garrett’s Family Market brand.

Our mission is simple: to create a workplace where team members feel like family, and where everyone can reach their full potential through passion, high standards, and continuous improvement. Come be part of our fun, fast-paced, and family-oriented culture.

Volta Oil is searching for a Facilities and It Systems Administrator. This key support role will provide frontline IT and facilities support to store locations and the corporate office. The ideal candidate is highly organized, service-oriented, and comfortable balancing both IT and facilities responsibilities in a multi-site environment.

  • Ensure work is completed in accordance with established procedures, standards, and vendor agreements
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders on status updates and resolutions
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality service with a positive and professional approach

What You'll Bring to the Role:

We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting teams, and keeping systems and facilities running smoothly. A successful candidate will have many (but not necessarily all) of the following:

  • A bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience
  • 4–5 years of experience working in IT support, systems administration, or a similar role
  • Experience supporting users in a retail, multi-location, or fast-paced environment (a plus, not a requirement)
  • Comfort working with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong skills in setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting PCs and related hardware
  • Working knowledge of internet connectivity, networking, and peripheral devices such as printers, scanners, and POS equipment
  • Experience using IT ticketing systems (such as ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira) to manage and prioritize requests
  • Ability to create clear, organized documentation and follow established processes
  • Experience coordinating with vendors or service providers, including managing timelines and expectations
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects or requests at once
  • A proactive, analytical approach to problem-solving — you don’t just fix issues, you help prevent them
  • Certifications such as CompTIA A , Microsoft, or Cisco are a plus, but not required
