Volt is immediately hiring a Staff Accountant in Albuquerque, NM.
As a Staff Accountant you will:
- Perform general accounts payable functions, including vendor setup, data maintenance, and compliance
- Review vendor statements for accuracy and identify missing or outstanding invoices
- Verify invoice accuracy and enter AP transactions into Sage 300
- Reconcile invoices and statements, noting and reporting discrepancies
- Compile data and generate weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for Finance and Operations
- Manage and track Certificates of Insurance (COI) compliance for vendors
- Reconcile and manage monthly credit card transactions
- Assist with special projects and additional accounting or administrative duties as assigned
This is a full-time, Temp-to-hire opportunity. Monday-Thursday 7:00am-5:00pm Friday 7:00am-11:00am
Staff Accountant candidates must meet the following requirements:
- 2 years of accounting experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Effective interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to recognize, analyze, and resolve issues
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience using Sage 300 or similar ERP/accounting software preferred
- Ability to manage time effectively in a deadline driven office setting
Pay for this position is $23-$25/hr. DOE
