Volt is immediately hiring Manufacturing Assembler in Winooski, VT.

As a Manufacturing Assembler, you will:

• Assemble precision instruments, components, and subassemblies using work instructions and assembly drawings
• Read and interpret mechanical prints and bills of materials (BOMs)
• Perform assembly, measuring, testing, and product verification activities
• Conduct routine testing and inspections to ensure quality and performance standards are met
• Perform basic troubleshooting and minor repairs as needed
• Support material handling activities including receiving, storing, and moving materials
• Maintain production records and documentation
• Enter and retrieve information in ERP and manufacturing systems
• Follow safety, quality, and Lean Manufacturing standards
• Work collaboratively to meet production and quality goals

This is a fulltime, contract opportunity.

Schedule: Day Shift Only

• Flexible start times between 6:00 AM and 8:30 AM
• Flexible work schedules available, including four 9-hour days with a 4-hour Friday

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• 1-3 years of manufacturing, production, assembly, or industrial experience
• Experience reading mechanical prints and bills of materials
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to follow written work instructions and procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and dependability

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience with instrument assembly, electromechanical assembly, testing, inspection, or repair
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement principles
• Experience with quality inspection processes and manufacturing documentation
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Pay Rate: $21.59 - $23.59 per hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
