Volt is immediately hiring Production Specialist / Logistics Inventory Control in Wilmington, DE 19808
As a Production Specialist, you will be responsible for:
Essential Functions:
- In compliance with instrument manufacturing standard operating procedures, performs inspection, confirmation, and packaging processes in a production environment.
- Quality checks of instruments to ensure no defects are present.
- Serial number and document verification. Ensuring the correct packaging material is used for each instrument.
- Adherence of single piece flow process, which includes verification and physical boxing of instruments. Labelling and strapping boxed instruments to pallets.
- Transferring of completed packaged instruments to Shipping drop off lanes. Cycle counting of packaging inventory.
- Maintaining records to comply with regulatory requirements.
- Operates packaging machinery including but not limited to carts, conveyors, vacuum hoists, strapper systems and electric lift equipment.
- Ensuring all shipment orders are verified in compliance with specified shipping instructions.
- Following packaging instructions to prevent shifting or damage to material.
- Creating and validating all shipping documents prior to hand-off to carrier (Packing Lists, Invoices, Bill-of-Ladings).
- Loading materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks and shelves by hand, forklift, and vacuum lift equipment. .
- Physical and administrative tasks related to shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing materials, parts, supplies, and equipment.
Qualifications:
- Preferably at least 1-2 years of relevant inventory experience in a production and logistics environment.
