Volt is immediately hiring an Electrical Hardware Test Engineer in Liberty Lake, Washington.
As an Electrical Hardware Test Engineer, you will:
- Participate in the testing of electrical hardware systems, including power distribution, signal integrity, and high-speed interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with electrical design standards.
- Generate and maintain all necessary documentation, including schematics, BOMs, and test plans.
- Interface with suppliers and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and ensure quality.
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.
This is a full-time, contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 5 years of experience in electrical hardware test for high-speed digital, analog, and mixed-signal systems.
- Proficiency with hardware design tool(s) (e.g., Cadence, Altium, Mentor Graphics).
- Understanding of signal integrity, power integrity, EMI/EMC, and thermal considerations.
- Experience with the following:
- high-speed interfaces (DDR4/5, PCIe g5, or Ethernet 100G/ 400G/ 800G) system-level testing.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Preferred:
- Experience with the following: o Intel x86 motherboards
- Electrical validation for Altera and Xilinx FPGAs
- CPU VR power supply verification
- Experience with regulatory compliance (UL, CE, FCC) and reliability testing.
- Proficient with Siemens (Mentor Graphics) Xpedition Enterprise
