Vollwerth & Co. seeks a motivated, entry-level General Laborer to join our Production team in Hancock, Michigan. This full-time position plays an important role in supporting daily manufacturing and packaging operations in a fast-paced food production environment.
Previous experience is not required – we provide training for individuals who are dependable, eager to learn, and ready to contribute to a team-oriented workplace.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in producing and packaging products in a manufacturing environment.
- Operate food processing machinery as needed.
- Follow manufacturing procedures and quality control guidelines to ensure product consistency and safety.
- Handle materials and tools for assembly line production.
- Support the production team in various fabrication and tooling activities.
- Perform basic math calculations for measuring and production tasks.
- Follow direction from supervisors and maintain a positive, team-focused attitude.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work Monday through Friday.
- Ability to work every other Saturday during the summer months.
- Ability to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours).
- Physically capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.
- Previous experience in manufacturing or meat processing preferred but not required.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong work ethic and collaborative team mindset.
SCHEDULE: Full-time. In-person position based in Hancock, Michigan.
