Volkwein's Music is a full-service, family-owned music store located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. With a full-time staff of more than 30 sales and highly trained repair technicians -- all of whom also are musicians -- Volkwein's Music has met the sheet music, instrument and accessories sales, rental and repair needs of the professional and amateur music community since 1888. Our mission is to support music and music education in our community through providing top notch customer service. We are looking to fill a full-time Music Sales Associate / Education Representative position. A background and education in band, orchestra, and/or choir preferred. Qualifications and Responsibilities:
- Work well with a team and independently
- Demonstrate excellent punctuality and time management skills
- Communicate effectively with both co-workers and customers
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent customer service
- Assess customers needs and provide assistance and information on products and services
- Welcome customers to the store and answer their queries
- Maintain store displays, inventory, and appearance
- Assisting customers promptly in person, over the phone, and via email
- Organize and manage scheduling of weekly visits to a given territory of schools
- Strive to build and maintain trust and relationships with customers
- Utilization of both personal and company vehicle for school visits (Mileage compensation is provided for personal vehicle use at the Federal standard mileage rate.)
- Must be able to transport and carry musical instruments and supplies between our store and school buildings
- Must be able to obtain the following clearances for access to Pennsylvania schools:
- - Department of Human Services Child Abuse History Clearance
- - Pennsylvania State Police Request for Criminal Records Check
- - Federal Criminal History Record Information (CHRI)
