Brief Role Description
The purpose of this role is to evaluate and administer Volkswagens spare parts and accessory price position using competitive OEM data, independent aftermarket research data, as well as internal sales reporting to make recommendations that support overall organizational revenue, profit and market share objectives.
Possible Tasks within this Role
Role Responsibilities:
- Perform price analyses, ensure consistency to current pricing models for various parts segments, and generate proposals of possible scenarios to the Parts Pricing Committee.
- Analyze parts pricing in relation to aftermarket parts suppliers, collision services, and other OE Manufacturers.
- Identify opportunities to maximize parts and accessories revenue and profitability.
- Analyze parts cost changes, recommending and presenting pricing revisions to management for review and approval.
- Perform pricing studies for new vehicle launches, vendor price change impacts, and warranty impact.
- Implement pricing revisions enabling the fulfillment of strategic decisions and policy.
- Perform ROI analysis and report on the effectiveness of price changes to management as well as the Pricing Committee.
- Ensure consistency in the extraction manipulation, interpretation, and application of data.
- Maintain and update strategic parts groups on a quarterly basis.
- Responsibilities include regular reporting, maintaining pricing models, and performing system updates.
- Develop ad hoc analysis and reporting as directed.
- Document all processes used to create pricing actions
- Ability to work with little day to day supervision and consistently achieve deadlines.
Qualification requirements
Experience Required:
- 5-7 years Automotive or financial experience
Education Required:
- Bachelor's degree
Education Desired:
- Master's degree
Qualifications - Required:
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, SAP Business Explorer, Business Objects,).
- Experience in interpreting and analyzing price position, market data and revenue/profit policies.
- Experience and understanding of statistical analysis techniques.
- Experience in managing databases as well as data mining.
- Ability to make pricing recommendations to management.
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point, Access, SAP Business Explorer, Business Objects,).
- Ability to quickly learn proprietary programs and data systems.
- Ability to work with and coordinate with multi departments and personnel.
- Strong written and verbal communications skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
Work Flexibility:
- Some travel, including international travel
