About the Role
We're looking for a dynamic
Governance, Risk, Compliance & Legal Lead
to build and lead our U.S. GRC function. This role combines strategic oversight of compliance, risk, and policy management with legal expertise in
Construction Law
,
EHS/OHS
, and
Transportation of Dangerous Goods
.
What You'll Do
- Lead implementation of PowerCo's Compliance Management System (CMS) in the U.S.
- Monitor legal risks (e.g., anti-corruption, antitrust, environmental).
- Develop and adapt policies to align with U.S. laws and regulations.
- Provide legal counsel on construction, environmental, and safety matters.
- Support internal controls, risk assessments, and business continuity planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally and report to both local and HQ leadership.
What You Bring
- 7 years in Legal, Compliance, Governance, or Risk Management.
- Bachelor's in Law or Legal Studies (JD/LLM preferred).
- Deep knowledge of U.S. regulatory frameworks.
- Strong legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience in manufacturing or in-house legal roles is a plus.
- English required; German preferred.
