The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring all program files, documentation, and processes comply with federal, state, and program-specific requirements for the federally funded program. This role plays a critical part in maintaining audit readiness and ensuring program integrity.

The QA/QC Specialist is responsible for ensuring all program files, documentation, and processes comply with federal, state, and program-specific requirements for the federally funded program. This role plays a critical part in maintaining audit readiness and ensuring program integrity.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Conduct detailed quality assurance/quality control reviews of program files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Verify documentation aligns with applicable regulations (e.g., 2 CFR Part 200, program policies, and state requirements)
- Review intake and eligibility files prior to approval
- Identify deficiencies and issue corrective actions with clear guidance to staff
- Track QA/QC findings, trends, and recurring issues
- Support audit preparation and monitoring reviews
- Collaborate with intake and program staff to resolve documentation gaps
- Assist in developing and refining QA/QC procedures and checklists
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3 years of experience in grant programs, compliance, QA/QC, or program monitoring
- Strong understanding of documentation standards and regulatory compliance
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines
- Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
- Experience with federally funded programs (e.g., ARPA, CDBG, FEMA, or similar)
- Experience supporting audits or monitoring reviews
- Familiarity with case management or grants management systems (e.g., Salesforce)
- Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines effectively
- Problem-solving and process improvement mindset
