Volcano Inn is looking for a new team member! We are looking for someone who enjoys interacting with guests from all over the world, has a strong work ethic, has the ability and drive to pay attention to the finer details, and is able to clean rooms efficiently and effectively. Ideally the right person would have experience in the hospitality industry. We are in search of a new team member who is detail-oriented, self-motivated, neat, clean, honest, and trustworthy. Additionally, knowledge of the island is most helpful.
Individuals interested in this position must:
- have reliable transportation and cell phone (if transportation is not reliable don't apply)
- be able to multi-task and manage a wide variety of situations
- be willing to work weekends and holidays
- basic knowledge of computer systems
- be able to be proactive and take initiative on duties without being directed, instructed, or told
- be physically capable of standing, working, cleaning and carrying up and down stairs
- be able to follow directions, both written and verbal
What the position entails:
- Housekeeping - Promptly and efficiently cleanse and restock rooms for daily booking needs, while keeping a mind on all details big and small, to best prepare the room for the guest's arrival
- Daily upkeep - Provide the necessary work to ensure the inn operates properly. From doing the daily laundry (wash, dry, fold, group, and prepared for refreshing rooms), moderate cleaning of common areas, and keeping with general operating procedures
- Breakfast duties - When scheduled for breakfast be able to show up on time, or ahead of schedule, to ensure that all morning routines responsibilities and preparation are complete and ready for guests to have their complimentary breakfast
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
