Summary: The Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor manages all housekeeping and laundry operations of the facility to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents. They schedule and direct staff, order supplies, guide infection control measures, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operations: Directing housekeeping and laundry staff, scheduling, managing supplies, and ensuring efficient daily operations.
- Environment: Maintaining cleanliness, order, and attractiveness of the facility, focusing on resident living spaces.
- Safety & Infection Control: Implementing and enforcing strict infection control procedures
- Staff Management: Scheduling, training, leading, motivating, and supervising housekeeping and laundry departments.
- Resident Focus: Ensuring high customer service and a positive experience for residents through a clean environment.
- Collaboration: Working with other department leaders to coordinate efforts.
Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in healthcare (nursing home, long-term care).
- Knowledge of infection control in housekeeping.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team culture.
Schedule: full-time. Monday - Friday 8:30-5:00, with weekend availability as needed dependent on facility operations
Pay: $65,000 /yr DOE
