The Mail Clerk performs routine mailroom and messenger duties to ensure the accurate and timely distribution of incoming and outgoing correspondence throughout the organization. This role supports daily mail operations, maintains efficient workflow, and upholds standards of accuracy, security, and confidentiality in all mail-handling activities.
Key responsibilities include collecting, sorting, processing, and delivering mail and packages to designated departments and personnel. The Mail Clerk operates and maintains an electronic postage metering system, ensuring the proper application of postage, tracking usage, and recording meter readings at the end of each workday.
This position requires strong organizational skills, reliability, and the ability to manage repetitive processes with accuracy and consistency. The Mail Clerk plays a key role in maintaining smooth internal communication and supporting the daily operational needs of the organization through dependable and professional mail services.
Requirements
Education/ Experience
High School diploma or GED.
One (1) year of experience in a mailroom environment.
