Description
The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of department assets, ensuring the integrity of the inventory management process. This role supports the tracking, documentation, and reporting of equipment, software, and related materials, contributing to efficient resource utilization and compliance with organizational standards.
Key responsibilities include entering new assets into the inventory database, assisting with periodic physical inventories, and maintaining detailed records of transfers, updates, and disposals. The Inventory Clerk arranges and documents the movement of software and equipment, ensuring that all required forms are completed, filed, and communicated to appropriate personnel.
Additional duties include monitoring department requisition reports, reviewing changes in software or equipment assignments, and ensuring all updates are accurately reflected in the system. The position requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple administrative tasks while maintaining data accuracy and accountability.
Requirements
Education and Experience
High School diploma or GED
Four (4) years of experience, including identifying parts and components.
