Our client is a family-owned real estate development and property management company that holds and operates a diversified commercial real estate portfolio exceeding 1,000,000 square feet across multiple states, spanning multi-family, retail, light commercial, and office assets.
We are currently searching for a Bilingual Assistant Property Manager who is looking to grow into a Property Manager to join the team as they continue to grow their portfolio of mixed-use properties in Fort Worth.
Job Description
The Assistant Property Manager will provide hands-on operational support across the Company's local portfolio while extending remote oversight to out-of-state multifamily and retail properties. This individual will also serve as the designated manager for the Company's anticipated mixed-use development — a flagship project within a designated historic district.
Beyond property responsibilities, the role functions as the operational and administrative center of the corporate office, supporting the President, Vice President, and broader team with day-to-day needs. The Assistant Property Manager will also serve as a visible representative of the Company in the local community, with particular engagement in the surrounding historic district and neighborhoods surrounding the Company's managed properties.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience working in real estate or property management industries
- Fluent in Spanish (verbal and written)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; command of professional English
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation for regular travel between properties
- Ability to walk properties, climb stairs, access mechanical and utility rooms, and respond to occasional after-hours issues
- Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and basic landlord-tenant regulations
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Qualifications
- Familiarity with multi-family leasing workflows, lease administration, and lease renewal processes
- Basic bookkeeping knowledge and comfort with rent collection and delinquency tracking
- Ability to conduct themselves appropriately in a multitude of different environments
- Comfort with light operational troubleshooting — resetting breakers, identifying leak sources, coordinating vendor response
- Demonstrated use of AI tools in a professional or administrative setting
- Community engagement experience or familiarity with local neighborhoods, particularly the surrounding historic district
- Experience supporting senior executives in a confidential environment
