Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Wichita, KS, for a Purchasing & Inventory Specialist. Responsibilities include managing purchasing processes, generating and tracking purchase orders, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring inventory accuracy. The specialist will analyze purchasing data to optimize procurement and support operational efficiency within the organization.
Job Duties may include
- Oversees receiving process, stocking parts and work with accounting on inventories.
- Oversees packing and shipment of all parts. Correct packing & packaging of parts.
- Completing RMA’s for customers when necessary.
- Solves day-to-day problems with shipping/receiving services, ensuring all shipments are completed per ERP.
- Works closely with Scheduling and others, including coordinating with production, purchasing, and operations to report discrepancies and shortfalls.
- Handles all materials received (receive, review, receipt, document, process, prepare, identify, etc.).
- Manages inventory management initiatives including verifying inventory and locations for accuracy.
- Investigate root cause of discrepancies and take corrective action steps to ensure accurate inventory in the future.
- Conducts cycle counts and adjustments as needed while participating in annual inventory responsibilities.
- Ensures adherence to business guidelines, safety & security procedures.
- Other duties may include stocking internal office orders, picking up outside orders, and other various company projects as required.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Purchasing Processes, Purchase Management, and Purchase Orders
- Strong skills in Purchasing and Analytical Skills to evaluate and improve procurement processes
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Familiarity with inventory management software and procurement tools is a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of an on-site team
- Great attitude and willing to learn
