Customer Service and Production Associate

Job Summary
The Part-Time Customer Service & Production Associate at Voget Meats plays a vital role in both the retail and production areas of our family-owned business. This position is responsible for providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service while also supporting our butchers and sausage makers in daily production tasks. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is eager to learn all aspects of our operation.

Responsibilities include assisting customers with purchases, answering product questions, processing transactions, maintaining a clean and organized retail area, and helping prepare products for display. In the production area, you will assist butchers and sausage makers with food preparation, packaging, labeling, stocking, and other production tasks while following strict food safety and sanitation standards. This role requires a positive attitude, attention to detail, and the flexibility to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering excellence in every cut and quality in every bite.

• Assist customers with product selection, custom orders, and general product knowledge.
• Support daily retail operations by stocking displays, rotating products, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor.
• Assist butchers and sausage makers with food preparation, packaging, labeling, weighing, and staging products for retail and wholesale orders.
• Help prepare and package fresh meat products while following company quality standards and production procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, equipment, and tools in accordance with food safety regulations.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Willingness to learn meat products, production processes, and company procedures through on-the-job training.
• Previous customer service, retail, food service, or food production experience is preferred but not required.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
