You’ll collaborate with staff to create a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment while ensuring adherence to Vogel’s high standards and regulations. This is a full-time salaried position with a salary range of $35,000 - $60,000 per year based on education and experience. Please note that this position may require assistance at our other locations as needed - Vogel Main, Vogel North and Vogel Redbird.

What you’ll do
- Provide Exceptional Care: Ensure high-quality interactions and care for children, including diapering, feeding, and daily routines.
- Create Learning Opportunities: Develop and implement individualized, developmentally appropriate lesson plans to support each child’s growth.
- Foster Emotional Development: Utilize strategies like Conscious Discipline to promote positive behavior and emotional regulation.
- Collaborate with Experts: Work with licensed therapists and specialists to support children with developmental delays and challenging behaviors.
- Engage with Families: Conduct parent-teacher conferences, home visits, and maintain open communication with families to discuss each child’s progress.
- Maintain Standards: Ensure compliance with NAEYC Standards, Head Start Performance Standards, and TX Minimum Standards to create a safe and nurturing classroom.
What will make you successful in this role (skills)
- Required: Child Development Associates (CDA) credential
- Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in early childhood programs, preferably with children from low-income or homeless families
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse families
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and strategies like Conscious Discipline
- Ability to work full-time, Monday – Friday, with flexibility during program hours (7 am – 6 pm)
- Experience with NAEYC-accredited programs or Head Start/Early Head Start programs
- Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
