Summary/Objective
The PHS Maintenance Technician is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing equipment deficiencies to maximize equipment efficiency, equipment reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
Essential Functions

- Assures specific quality guidelines are met and, if necessary, takes appropriate actions and measures to rectify quality issues.
- Maintains a safe and clean work area.
- Troubleshoots complex, heavily interconnected production lines.
- Maximizes reliability of equipment by suggesting and implementing improvements.
- Performs scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Manages multiple priorities and consistently meets deadlines with expected results.
- Provides a "Customer Service" attitude that has a high focus on sense of urgency when interacting with internal customers while accomplishing work, production and quality standards.
- Documents work processes and standard operating procedures.
- Completes enhancement projects or completely new projects for production safety, capability or capacity.
- Communicates accurately, fully, and professionally with customers regarding priorities, repair steps taken, parts ordered, and estimated time until completion.
- Participates in daily shift meetings.

Work Environment

Physical Demands

The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
This position operates in increased working temperature.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full time position. This role operates on a shift schedule. Based on the shift schedule, this position will work at least 8 hours per day. As production demands it, this role will be required to work overtime hours including weekend.
Travel
No travel is expected for this position outside of training related travel.
Required Education and Experience
- Associate Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Systems Technology or similar program
- 5 years of relevant industry experience.
- Extensive knowledge of complex (servo) hydraulic systems.
- Experience handling and scheduling long, complex jobs involving heavy components
- Knowledge of electrical frequency and servo drive systems.
- Able to read and interpret (customer) quality requirements and industrial standards.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Basic knowledge of Siemens and Beckhoff control systems.
- Knowledge of the metric system and metric/European standard machine components.
