Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) | Arizona

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Special Education, or Visual Impairments, active Teacher of the Visually Impaired certification and 1 years Teacher of the Visually Impaired experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This position focuses on delivering specialized educational support for visually impaired students through telehealth services. The role requires expertise in adapting instructional methods to meet the unique needs of students with visual impairments, utilizing virtual platforms to ensure access and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education plans tailored for students with visual impairments via telehealth.
• Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed.
• Collaborate with families, educators, and related service providers to support student development.
• Use assistive technology effectively to enhance learning experiences.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with educational standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Certification or licensure in visual impairment education.
• Proficiency in virtual teaching platforms and telehealth delivery methods.
• Strong understanding of assistive technologies for visually impaired learners.
• Experience working within school environments, preferably with a focus on remote instruction.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills to manage remote educational services.
