Virtual Social Worker in MI

This contract position focuses on delivering remote social work support to students, addressing their social, emotional, and behavioral needs through virtual platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct telehealth sessions with students to assess and address mental health, behavioral, and social challenges.
• Collaborate with school staff, families, and external providers to develop individualized intervention plans.
• Provide crisis intervention and support as needed, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
• Document cases thoroughly, maintaining accurate records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Facilitate referrals to local mental health resources and community services when appropriate.
• Participate in virtual team meetings and ongoing professional development related to telehealth practices.

Desired Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.
• Valid and current licensure to practice social work in Michigan.
• Experience providing social work services within schools or educational settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote client engagement.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build rapport virtually with students and families.
