Virtual Occupational Therapist - NM

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A contract opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in telehealth services for a school setting located in Shiprock, NM. This role requires providing therapeutic support to two seven-year-old students, with a schedule spanning from August 3 through May 19.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct occupational therapy services, approximately 30 minutes per week for each student
• Conducting 1 to 2 hours of therapy weekly, including both direct and indirect service time
• Utilizing telehealth platforms effectively to engage with students and support their development
• Collaborating with school staff to ensure therapy goals align with educational objectives
• Documenting session progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with school policies

Qualifications and experience desired:

• Licensed Occupational Therapist with appropriate certification for school-based practice
• Prior experience in pediatric occupational therapy, particularly within school environments
• Proficiency in telehealth service delivery, including remote communication technology
• Strong understanding of individualized education plans (IEPs) and the ability to tailor interventions accordingly
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with students, families, and educators
