This contract position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic learning environment, providing specialized instruction and resources tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.Key Responsibilities:Deliver individualized and group instruction to students with varying degrees of visual impairment.Develop and adapt instructional materials and curricula to accommodate visual accessibility.Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and support staff to create inclusive educational plans.Utilize assistive technology and orientation and mobility techniques to enhance student learning.Conduct assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.Provide training and guidance on visual impairment awareness and accommodations to school staff.Qualifications:Certification or licensure in teaching students with visual impairments.Experience working with K-12 students who are visually impaired.Knowledge of braille, assistive technologies, and orientation & mobility techniques.Strong communication and collaboration skills.Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual learning needs.Location: Quincy, MAThis contract role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the academic and personal growth of students with visual impairments.
