Remote Sign Language Interpreter in NY

An opportunity is available for a skilled Sign Language Interpreter specializing in telehealth services within a school environment. This 1099 contract position is based in Ridgewood, NY, and requires expertise in facilitating effective communication between students, educators, and healthcare professionals through American Sign Language (ASL) in remote or virtual settings.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing accurate and clear ASL interpretation during telehealth sessions, educational meetings, and other school-related virtual communications
• Ensuring confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions
• Collaborating with educators, therapists, and healthcare providers to support students’ communication needs
• Adhering to ethical practices and industry standards within the interpreting profession
