Skills Trainer/Job Coach For UPMC JAMESON PROJECT SEARCH

Project SEARCH is an international program focused on providing education and training for high school seniors with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities within a business setting. The program goal is competitive employment. Participants will receive on the job training via internship experiences within a business setting at UPMC Jameson

We are seeking one full-time skills trainer/job coach to provide the following:

• analyses of essential job functions
• accommodations to up to 10 interns, as needed
• collaboration with department heads/mentors within the business setting, steering committee members, and businesses within the community
• job coaching services within the business setting and following program completion
• identify and contact potential employers for job placement
• develop and assure intern adherence to Project SEARCH and business setting policies and procedures
• Serve as a member of the monthly steering committee meeting

Minimum qualifications:

• Must be a self-starter, multi-tasker, collaborator and be enthusiastic about helping others obtain and maintain competitive employment AND
• Must have a valid driver’s license, vehicle and auto insurance AND
• A minimum of a high school diploma AND one of the following:
• 2 years of experience in job placement or employment support services, which may include paid or unpaid experience and may be cumulative; OR
• 24 college credit hours;
• The Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators (ACRE) Basic Employment Certificate or Professional Employment Certificate; OR
• The Association for People Supporting Employment First (APSE) Certified Employment Support Professional credential; OR
• The Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC)
