Vocational Connections, Inc. is seeking outgoing and motivated individual(s) to join our team.
Opening for Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor or Intern position to perform case work in Eastern Washington. This position involves assisting individuals with disabilities of all types with their vocational goals and return to work planning. Position requires the ability to travel to a variety of work sites, medical facilities, and legal offices. We are looking for collaborative individuals who want to work as part of a team to support our clients and customers. This is not considered a telecommuting job and will require face to face meetings.
Candidates must be willing and able to build strong partnerships with medical providers, employers, workers, State employees, and legal representatives. The job requires strong attention to detail, strong writing and analytical skills, and proficient computer skills.
Additional Requirements:
- At least a bachelor's degree required at time of hire (preferably in a human service field but will consider all)
- Must be ok with traveling throughout north central and eastern WA (usually day trips)-Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be fluent in English; bilingual in English/Spanish a plus
- Excellent grammar/writing skills
- Prefer prior case management experience
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize
- Dependable, reliable, ability to work alone as well as part of a team, and excellent time management skills
- Ability to handle stressful situations and deal with all kinds of people
- Ability to perform desk work but also work in the "field" which could require long periods of sitting/driving or meeting at various employer job sites which requires navigating various terrain
