Responsibilities
- Conduct individual and group training sessions tailored to each dog’s needs and owner goals
- Implement positive reinforcement techniques to teach commands, improve obedience, and modify undesirable behaviors
- Assess each dog’s temperament, learning style, and progress to customize training plans
- Educate pet owners on effective training methods, behavior management, and ongoing care strategies
- Maintain detailed records of training sessions, progress reports, and behavioral observations
- Demonstrate patience, consistency, and clear communication during all interactions with dogs and owners
- Stay current with the latest training techniques, industry standards, and safety protocols to ensure optimal results
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with dogs in a training or behavioral modification setting
- Strong understanding of canine behavior, body language, and learning principles
- Excellent communication skills to effectively instruct pet owners and team members
- Ability to remain patient, energetic, and positive in fast-paced environments
- Certification from a recognized dog training organization is preferred but not required
- Basic knowledge of safety procedures related to handling animals of various sizes and temperaments
