ICU RN*Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, PALS & TNCC / TCAR / or experience with the care of trauma patients*NO CLINICAL INVOLVEMENT- # of Beds: 4- Nurse:Patient Ratios: 1:2-3 depending on acuity- Common diagnoses/Types of patients: DKA, sepsis pts, respiratory failure, cardiac(rate and rhythm control), medical detox, art lines, CVP- Are RNs required to titrate drips: Yes- Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Those typical to an ICU- Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift Does the charge nurse take an assignment: No- ER is in charge of ICU- Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit Ratios Duties: No- RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.) Are RNs required to do anything with these besides trouble shoot: Nasal cannula to vent-
