Travel Cath Lab Tech

Assignment Details

• Shift: Days, 4 x 10s or 5 x 8s, with call
• Guaranteed hours: 40/week
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Call: Weeknights, weekends, and holidays, with a 30-minute response time
• Scheduling: Set by the supervisor
• Float: Occasionally to other procedural areas, depending on census
• Cancellation policy: Up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment (3 shifts for assignments under 13 weeks)

Requirements

• BLS (AHA), ACLS, and ARRT
• Prior cath lab experience and competence
• No license needed to submit
• BSN not required

The Unit

• 4 labs
• 10–15 cases per day on average
• Case types: Interventional cardiology, structural heart, and peripheral vascular (EP and IR are separate departments)
• Role: Scrub and monitor
• Cases are typically scheduled 7:00a–5:30p, with 24/7 on-call coverage
• EMR/systems: Epic and Merge
• 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation
• Scrubs provided
