CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling and critical prenatal care.Position Summary: The per-diem Vaccine Coordinator is responsible for providing administrative and clinical support for the Primary Care Department as part of Community Health Center Clinical Care Team in coordinating the management of the Vaccine program at the Community Health Center. This role requires flexibility to provide coverage and support across all sites, including Asbury Park, Freehold, Red Bank, and Keyport CHC, to ensure consistent vaccine program standards organization-wide.Principal Responsibilities:Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workersDemonstrates commitment to, and understanding of the CHC’s mission of excellent customer service in all internal and external relationships and in the performance of all duties and responsibilitiesManages vaccine inventory of both private and VFC stock, keeps track of refrigerator temperature logs and downloads as necessary, coordination of NJIIS documentation and troubleshooting with VFC, to assure appropriate quality immunization program for all patients.Performs and maintains vaccine room stock, log books, records, and NJIIS documentation at all Community Health Center sites.Coordinates all facilities of the Community Health Center through the VFC site survey process.Ensure new and existing medical assistant staff has received all necessary and required trainings, and have the skills necessary to complete their work with the vaccine program.Adheres to agency infection control and safety policiesAdheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance.Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this positionWorks as a Certified Medical Assistant as necessary in any of the sites based on scheduling requirementsJob Competencies & Minimum Qualifications:High School diploma or GED requiredMedical Assistant Certificate requiredMinimum 2 years of clinical experience in a primary care or community health settingExperience with vaccine inventory management preferredExperience with VFC, 317, and private vaccine programs preferredWorking knowledge of NJIIS requiredExperience with EHR documentation (NextGen experience a plus)Experience with electronic vaccine inventory systems (AccuVax experience a plus)Understanding of temperature monitoring, excursion response, and vaccine storage requirementsStrong organizational skills with attention to detail and reconciliation accuracyAbility to work independently across multiple sitesValid New Jersey driver’s licenseWorking Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors with telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, printer, centrifuge, electric exam table, glucometer, nebulizer, needles/syringes, oxygen equipment, personal automobile, scales, sphygmomanometer, stethoscope, thermometer, venipuncture equipment, and wheelchair.This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the Medical Assistant’s position and it is not intended to be an exhaustive list of experience, skills, efforts, duties, responsibilities, or working conditions associated with the position.#LI-AD1 -In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $30,00.00 to USD $65,000.00.
