What are the responsibilities and job description for the Front Desk Receptionist / Customer Service Representative position at VMS Auto Collision Center?
Overview
We're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and wants to build a long-term career in a professional auto body shop environment.
This is a customer-facing front desk role where communication, organization, and follow-through are key to success. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers and play an important role in keeping the shop running smoothly.
Responsibilities (training provided)
- Greet customers and create a friendly, professional first impression
- Answer incoming calls and assist with questions about repairs and services
- Help customers through the repair process, including insurance claims and vehicle check-in / check-out
- Provide updates to customers on vehicle repair status
- Follow up with customers to schedule repairs and convert estimates into jobs
- Communicate with insurance adjusters regarding approvals and payments
- Open and manage repair orders in our shop management system
- Perform general office tasks (scanning, filling, ordering supplies, etc.)
- Assist with basic accounts payable (vendor payments, invoice matching)
- Take before and after photos of vehicles
A Key Part of This Role
A big part of this position is following up with customers and helping them move forward with repairs. This isn't high-pressure sales, but you should be comfortable guiding conversations, making recommendations, and helping customers take the next step.

Preferred (not required):
- Customer service or front desk experience
- Auto body collision repair or automotive experience
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
