VML Emerge Internship Program

Ready to launch your career at the forefront of innovation? Join VML for an exhilarating immersive program designed to accelerate your growth. You'll gain invaluable real-world experience through hands-on project work, dynamic team collaboration, and a strong focus on cutting-edge AI integration, including a dedicated intern project crafting a mock pitch for a real client of ours, all complemented by specialized career development events.

This is a 10-week hybrid internship (June 2nd - August 6th, 2026). You’ll work 4 days in the office and 1 day remotely.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for a Copywriter Intern who is passionate about storytelling, creative problem-solving, and exploring how AI can enhance the creative process. You’ll work alongside talented creatives to develop concepts and write copy for a variety of platforms, including branded content, digital experiences, 360-degree campaigns, and more.

What You’ll Do

  • Write & Concept: Collaborate with creative directors, designers, and art directors to develop compelling concepts and write clear, engaging copy for campaigns across various media channels.
  • Explore AI in Creativity: Experiment with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, or Copy.ai) to enhance ideation, streamline writing processes, and generate creative variations.
  • Execute Campaigns: Help create branded content, digital experiences, and integrated campaigns across multiple platforms, with a focus on social.
  • Proof & Polish: Proofread and edit copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Stay Ahead of Trends: Research industry trends, emerging technologies, and cultural insights to inspire fresh ideas and innovative approaches.
  • Contribute to Brainstorms: Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions to generate ideas and creative solutions.
  • Learn & Grow: Gain hands-on experience working on real client projects and receive mentorship from industry experts.

  • Detail-Oriented Communicator: You have strong written and verbal communication skills and an eye for detail.
  • Adaptable & Curious: You’re open to learning new tools, technologies, and ways of working.

Eligibility

  • You are a rising undergrad senior, a recent grad, or a on a non-traditional path with a track record of delivering impact.
  • Must be 18 with U.S. work authorization
  • Must be available to work and learn throughout the entirety of the program
  • A portfolio showcasing creative, campaign-worthy work across various media channels.
  • Familiarity with advertising and marketing principles.
  • Experience with social media platforms and content creation.
  • Basic knowledge of AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper, Copy.ai) or a willingness to learn.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
  • Bonus: Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and SEO best practices.

The base hourly rate for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below.
