Responsibilities specific to this role include, but are not limited to:
- Passenger and Baggage Screening
- Operating various screening equipment.
- Communicating and interacting with travelers
- Be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. National
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Have a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED)
- Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening)
- Must possess customer service skills
- Pass a computerized assessment (pattern recognition and 2D/3D spatial reasoning)
- Pass a medical evaluation (vision, hearing, and joint mobility exam)
- Pass pre-employment drug test
- Pass a TSA background and financial records check
- Ability to work any day, Monday – Sunday, and any shift between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM
- Minimum Clearance to Start: Public Trust
Competitive Compensation and on the Job Training
- Starting pay for this position will range from $23-$33/hour after successful training and certification. Pay levels for current officers are determined based on years of service and certifications.
- No prior experience is necessary.
- Receive on-the-job training and travel accommodations for a 2-week training session at an approved FLETC location to become a certified officer.
