Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sawyer/ Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely felling trees, cutting logs/Brush, and performing various chainsaw operator tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of tree species, cutting techniques, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely fell trees using chainsaws.
• Assess tree conditions and determine the best cutting techniques.
• Trim and cut logs to specified lengths.
• Maintain and operate chainsaws and other equipment.
• Follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective gear.
• Clear debris and ensure the work area is safe.
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment.
• Adhere to environmental regulations and company policies.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to operate chainsaw for extended periods.
• The position requires walking across very uneven and hazardous ground, often in challenging environmental conditions.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects and perform physical activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical tree felling experience
• Technical Roping and Rigging
• Advanced Falling certification from a credible organization
• Proven experience as a Chainsaw Operator, preferably in logging or forestry operations.
• In-depth knowledge of Sawyer/ Arborist and safety standards.
• Ability to work in challenging environments, including steep elevations and adverse weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in forestry or a related field.
• First aid and CPR certification.
