We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects, assisting with site preparation, material handling, and the execution of building tasks. Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including loading and unloading materials using hand tools and power tools.
- Support skilled tradespeople such as carpenters, masons, and concrete workers by preparing work areas and handling materials like rebar, formwork, and scaffolding.
- Operate heavy equipment and machinery such as concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and other power tools safely and effectively.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans.
- Perform tasks related to concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to meet project specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site.
- Engage in heavy lifting, demolition, restoration work, roofing, stucco application, masonry work, flooring installation, and other renovation activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction projects with knowledge of various trades such as carpentry, masonry, roofing, or concrete work.
- Mechanical knowledge with familiarity in operating hand tools, power tools, heavy equipment, and concrete mixers.
- Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans is a plus.
- Strong understanding of construction site safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in demanding outdoor environments for extended periods.
- Prior experience with rebar installation, concrete finishing, formwork construction, caulking, trim carpentry, metal stud framing, plastering or stucco is advantageous.
