Job Summary
The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment in all assigned areas of the facilities. This position performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties to ensure the building is sanitary and presentable for employees, visitors, and clients.
This position is full-time. Work hours are generally 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Occasional evenings, early morning, and weekend work may be required based on the department’s demands.

Job Duties
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors in hallways, offices, and other work areas
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors
- Empty and clean trash and recycling receptacles throughout the facility
- Wash windows, glass doors, and mirrors as needed
- Refill soap dispensers, paper towels, toilet tissue, and other supplies
- Dust furniture, fixtures, vents, and surfaces regularly
- Clean and maintain break rooms, kitchens, and common areas
- Report maintenance or safety issues (e.g., leaks, broken fixtures) to supervisor promptly
- Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure safe storage of chemicals and supplies
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods
