Job Summary
The Facility Manager will oversee all operations at our New Braunfels, TX site, a combined Solidification and Shredding Facility, reporting directly to the General Manager. This position has full Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibility for the facility, including revenue growth, cost management, budgeting, forecasting, financial performance, and operational efficiency. The Facility Manager will be responsible for the effective and successful management of labor, productivity, quality control, safety, customer service, environmental compliance, and regulatory compliance while ensuring adherence to all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, permits, and company policies. The ideal candidate will be an action-oriented leader with progressively increasing responsibility in Operations, Plant Management, or related fields, and a demonstrated track record of driving operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and financial results.

Job Duties
- Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices that guarantee organizational well-being
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale
- Examine financial data/statements and use them to improve profitability
- Perform quality controls and monitor production KPI’s
- Recruit, train, supervise and appraise employees. Accomplish results by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits; identify trends
- Forecast requirements; prepare an annual budget; schedule expenditures; analyze variances; initiating corrective actions
- Plan, schedule, and review workload and manpower to make sure targets are being met on a cost-effective basis
- Analyze process workflow, employee and space requirements and equipment layout; implement changes
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Communicate customer issues with operations team and devise ways of improving the customer experience, including resolving problems and complaints
- Work closely with management team to set and/or implement policies, procedures, and systems and to follow through with implementation. Communicate all operating policies and/or issues at department meetings
- Partner with Safety team to ensure all processes remain compliant with OSHA and other governmental regulations
- Purchase materials, plan inventory and ensure warehouse efficiency
- Bachelor’s degree in operations management or related field, or equivalent experience
- At least 5 years’ progressive experience in management, operations, and leadership; experience managing a start-up facility a plus
- Understanding of general finance and budgeting, including profit and loss and balance sheet
- Ability to build consensus and relationships among managers, partners, and employees
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
