Job Summary
The Billing Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate issuing of invoices to clients of VLS Environmental Solutions. This role is critical in providing the client with the invoice and supporting documentation to the client, as well as being a point of contact for the client when questions arise related to the billings. Attention to detail, organization and good communication skills are critical to the role.

Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Manages workflow of billing; process billing in timely manner
- Partner with billing team while collaborating with external teams
- Proactively identifies trends and initiates recommendations for process improvement practices
- Critical thinking, analysis of errors, and review to ensure accurate and timely billing
- Assumes responsibility for effectively researching, tracking, and resolving (or referring) accounting
- Organizes and participates in proactive team efforts to achieve department and company goals
- Promotes and maintains the confidentiality of financial and other restricted data
- Keeps management informed of internal/external activities and any significant problems
- Complies with safety policies, practices and procedures and reports unsafe conditions
- Promotes positive, professional relationships with co-workers and clients, vendors, and partners
- Other duties as assigned by management
- High school diploma
- 1 years billing experience in a fast-paced organization
- Knowledge of billing practices and billing office policies and procedures
- Proficiency in MS Office
