Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of personal injury claims, ensuring timely progression through each stage of the legal process
- Conduct client interviews to gather detailed case information and document relevant facts accurately
- Coordinate with medical providers, insurance adjusters, and other stakeholders to facilitate case development
- Prepare and review legal documents including pleadings, settlement agreements, and correspondence with clients and third parties
- Maintain comprehensive case files using legal case management software such as PCLaw and iManage
- Conduct legal research on procedural law, personal injury statutes, and relevant regulations to support case strategies
- Assist attorneys in trial preparation by organizing evidence, reviewing documents, and drafting reports
- Handle confidential information with the utmost discretion while maintaining organized records and files
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone or email to provide updates and gather additional information as needed
- Support administrative functions such as data entry, filing, and document review to ensure smooth office operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in personal injury law or civil litigation support with a strong understanding of personal injury case processes
- Paralegal experience or legal administrative support background preferred
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw for case law analysis
- Knowledge of procedural law, including UCC law, workers' compensation law, family law, landlord-tenant law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, and general & commercial litigation is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and document management systems like iManage or similar platforms
- Experience with legal support software such as PCLaw or similar case management tools is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously under tight deadlines
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Attention to detail in proofreading documents and transcribing information accurately
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while maintaining professionalism at all times
- Demonstrated project management skills to coordinate various aspects of case development effectively
