JOB DESCRIPTION:
JOB TITLE: Laboratory Quality Coordinator
DEPARTMENT: Quality
REPORTS TO: Laboratory Operations Manager
EFFECTIVE DATE: April 30th, 2025
SUMMARY: The Laboratory Quality Coordinator supports VIZIA Diagnostics in maintaining and enhancing VIZIA Diagnostics' Quality Management System (QMS). This role assists in quality control, assurance, and improvement initiatives, and helps ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements such as CLIA, CAP, and NY Laboratory Standards. The Laboratory Quality Coordinator collaborates with various departments to support quality-related projects and continuous improvement efforts across the laboratory.
DUTTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support VIZIA Diagnostics in ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements by assisting in the implementation and maintenance of quality processes and documentation.
- Assist in internal audits, external assessments, and proficiency testing programs.
- Help manage the document control system, ensuring SOPs and forms are accurate, accessible, and current.
- Track and compile quality performance metrics and customer satisfaction trends to support data-driven improvements.
- Coordinate training documentation and assist in identifying quality-related training needs across departments.
- Participate in incident reporting, CAPA tracking, and follow-up on quality events.
- Assist with the review and formatting of policies and procedures to ensure clarity and alignment with regulatory standards.
- Support communication efforts related to quality initiatives between departments and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager, the Safety Officer and HR Manager to align quality practices with broader organizational goals.
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and help document outcomes and lessons learned.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support laboratory quality and operational excellence.

- This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or four to ten years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Computer skills required: NOVOPATH LIS, Microsoft Office Suite; Media Lab
- Knowledge of ISO, CAP, CLEP, CLIA standards.
