Performance Perform proper cash management techniques, perform Essential Duties and Responsibilities. Understand and perform opening station requirements. Understand and perform proper cash management procedures in accordance with the HCCTR internal controls. Understand and perform closing station requirements. Prepare Prepare food for service in a safe and sanitary manner. Prepare and maintain dining area for guests and ensure cleanliness at all times. Compliance Adhere to all HCCTR as well as all Food and Beverage Policies. Maintains professional grooming and appearance and acts as a role model according to established grooming and appearance policy. Maintains valid WV racing license, Food Handlers permit and TIPS certifications. Understand and adhere to all board of health, property, and departmental safety practices. Values Demonstrate and exhibit characteristics and behavior in accordance with Property and Departmental Service Guarantees, and Property Core Values. Quality Assurance Committed to consistently delivering the highest quality of food & service to local and international guests in order to ensure repeat visits. Maintain workstation in a clean, safe and sanitized manner at all times. Maintain the cleanliness of the dining area by properly cleaning and sanitizing tables and other surfaces. Stock workstation with appropriate food, beverage and paper products; identify and perform product rotation requirements. Customer Service Take food and drink order from guests; communicate special instructions or conditions to other team members. Communicate guests’ issues, concerns, and/or problems to management. Must deliver ACES Guest Service to every guest during each interaction. BRING US YOUR BEST. Work Environment Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to hot/cold, wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED), or actively enrolled in High School or experience in lieu of education. Applicant must be at least eighteen (18) years of age to apply. Must be able to obtain proper Food Handler Certification. Knowledge Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Initial placement within the salary range is based on an individual's relevant knowledge, skills, and experience.
