Internship Description:
We are currently seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic interns for the Spring 2026 semester to contribute to the R&D program at Vivtex. This is a fantastic opportunity for local students interested in gaining valuable hands-on experience in a collaborative research and development setting.
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute molecular dynamics simulations using industry standard software (i.e. GROMACS).
- Implement machine learning workflows to derive meaningful information from large datasets.
- Collaborate with chemists and biologists to guide experimental efforts.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in simulations, software, and computational environments.
- Interface with cloud GPU resources (i.e. AWS) for computationally intensive workloads.
- Communicate results to diverse scientific team.
Ideal Candidates:
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Biomedical Engineering, Chemistry, Computer Science, or related fields at a university local to Boston, MA.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience with Python and/or C-based programming.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Must have good interpersonal skills and ability to perform as a team member.
- Preference to candidates that can be on-site for this part-time position.
- 3-month minimum commitment is required.
