Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support multi-disciplinary engineering teams through all phases of the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Apply expertise in AI/ML model development, operations, and applied data science to support mission needs.
- Perform systems engineering tasks including requirements analysis, solution design, integration, test and evaluation, reliability and maintainability analysis.
- Translate technical needs into actionable engineering strategies aligned with DoD/IC acquisition and planning processes.
- Engage with stakeholders across financial, platform, protection, and product domains to ensure technical coherence and alignment.
- Support model-based systems engineering (MBSE) activities, toolsets, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with government and industry systems engineering standards.
- Contribute to technical risk assessments and engineering trade studies.
- Interface with AI and data science teams to guide the integration of AI technologies into operational environments.
- Provide technical input on cloud, big data, and automation solution architectures.
Required Skills:
- Education & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field with 15 years of experience, OR
- Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field with 18 years of experience.
- Expertise In:
- Government or industry systems engineering within DoD/IC environments.
- DoD Acquisition, PPBES, and Requirements Management processes.
- Large-scale System of Systems (SoS) or Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) / Cloud systems.
- Full systems engineering lifecycle.
Desired Skills:
- Doctorate in a relevant technical field.
- Experience with geospatial intelligence systems.
- Working knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and practices.
- INCOSE ESEP certification or Professional Engineering (PE) licensure.
- Software Development Framework certification.
- Membership in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
- Experience with:
- Cloud technologies and architectures
- Structured/unstructured Big Data environments
- AI/ML integration and automation systems
- Photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, or GIS
