Job Title: Medical Device Technician
Location: Madison, WI
Pay Range: $30–$35/hour (W2)
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Device Technician to support the assembly, testing, and maintenance of medical device products and components. This role involves working in a regulated manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with quality standards and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, test, and repair medical device components and final products following established work instructions and SOPs
- Perform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and basic equipment maintenance under supervision
- Ensure all work complies with company quality systems and regulatory requirements (cGMP/FDA)
- Maintain accurate documentation, including Device History Records (DHRs)
- Identify and escalate quality concerns to supervisors or team leads
- Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Materials teams to resolve issues
- Assist in developing and revising SOPs, Work Instructions, and other documentation
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace
- Train and support other production team members as needed
- Follow EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) policies and procedures
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining high attention to detail
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience (any one of the following):
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related scientific field
- OR Associate’s degree 2 years of relevant experience
- OR High School Diploma 6 years of relevant experience
- Experience in assembly, testing, troubleshooting, or repair in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting
- Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in medical device or cGMP/FDA-regulated environment
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies
- Experience working with controlled documentation and quality systems
