Job Summary
We're looking for a Principal Marketing Manager to own the strategic vision for how Vivint builds retention and engagement across every customer touchpoint. This is a role for a marketing leader who sees the whole customer journey — not just campaigns — and who's driven to turn that view into bold, new programs that deepen engagement and keep customers with Vivint for years.
You'll audit the current state of Vivint's marketing experiences across all surfaces, identify where the gaps and opportunities are, and set the strategic direction for what comes next. You'll be the person in the room translating brand insight into customer strategy, and the person leadership turns to when the marketing problem is genuinely hard. This role demands someone who can operate autonomously, bring big ideas to the table, hold their ground when challenged — and challenge others right back.

What You'll Do
- Own the strategic vision for retention and engagement marketing across the full customer experience — from onboarding through renewal and beyond
- Audit existing marketing experiences across all surfaces to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and untapped opportunities
- Design and launch new, innovative retention and engagement programs that increase customer stickiness and lifetime value
- Translate brand insights into concrete customer strategy, ensuring every experience reinforces why customers chose — and should stay with — Vivint
- Partner with and influence senior leadership, shaping marketing strategy at the highest levels of the organization
- Bring a customer-obsessed lens to every decision, constantly asking how initiatives affect the real, lived experience of Vivint customers
- Operate as a self-starter — identifying problems before they're assigned, and building solutions with minimal oversight
- Thrive on complexity, seeking out the hardest marketing problems rather than avoiding them
- A track record as a strategic marketing leader with experience shaping and influencing strategy at the executive level
- Deep expertise in retention, engagement, and lifecycle marketing, with a portfolio of programs that moved real business metrics
- A sharp eye for connecting brand insight to customer strategy
- Strong creative instincts paired with the rigor to execute at scale
- A customer-obsessed mindset — you default to the customer's point of view in every decision
- Comfort operating autonomously in ambiguity, and confidence to challenge ideas (including your own) in pursuit of the best outcome
- Genuine excitement for solving complex, multi-layered marketing problems
