Fresh off a successful funding round, this cutting-edge startup (Series B) is building chip-scale, solid-state THz vision technology that delivers exceptional imaging performance and paves the way for new possibilities in mobility, defense, and beyond.
As they ramp up development and scale toward production, they’re seeking a hands-on and experienced Radar Systems Engineer to join the core RF systems team. Your work will be central to the technical success and scale-up of the company’s next-gen radar platform.
Work across IC design, antenna/array, signal processing, PCB, packaging, and software teams to integrate, test, and characterize our mmWave ICs. You’ll improve performance, refine measurement methods, and scale system testing. Expect hands-on debugging and OTA testing, plus developing new calibration and test approaches. Your work is key to advancing our next-gen radar platform.
Location: Boston MA (onsite)
Responsibilities
- Perform system integration and bring up new versions of the radar system
- Develop and implement new measurement and calibration methods for the radar system
- Develop processes and automation for characterizing a high volume of systems across
- process and temperature corners.
- Solve or participate in solving customer-facing system capability improvements
- Manage hardware responsibilities for phased array characterization and analog
- beamforming
- Debug issues with system performance.
- Characterize chipsets over the air using VNAs, spectrum analyzers and frequency extender modules
Skills & Experience
- Advanced experience with phased array radars
- Experience working at a start-up or high-growth oriented company
- Eager to learn new material, especially related to RF test methods, as well as RF system design and integration.
- Experience in the characterization of antennas and beamforming networks
- System and device-level understanding of amplifiers, mixers, phase shifters and other RF components.
- Experience using VNAs, spectrum analysers and other high-frequency lab equipment.
- Strong attention to detail, project/time management, and organizational skills
